Star growth per time window: stars gained, growth percentage, the star count at the start of the period, and whether the figure was measured from our own two-hour intraday snapshots, daily snapshots, or GitHub’s rebuilt star history, for the last 6 hours, the last 12 hours, today, the last 7 days, the last 30 days, and the last year. A period with no current measurement is left blank rather than shown as zero.

A period with no current measurement is left blank: a delta needs a measurement at both ends of the period. The 6- and 12-hour periods need two intraday measurements exactly that far apart, the day-and-longer periods need snapshots on both dates, and the last year also needs star history from a year ago, which we keep for one year.

Stars: 16.3k when it entered our index, 17.4k on the last capture we hold (28 Oct 2026), so +1.2k in that span. That span is our own measurement window, not a claim about what happened before it.
We hold 9 mentions for it, the oldest dated 5 Feb 2023 and the first written into our database on 26 Oct 2026. Thread dates come from the source, not from when we fetched them.

Almost every single JavaScript package is on NPM. Being on NPM does not automatically increase your attack vectors. The vast majority of the npm attacks have been "Supply Chain Attacks"[0] where an upstream dependency is injected with malicious code, then automatically downloaded and executed when users update a package. If you look at Effect's package.json on GitHub[1], you'll see that they have…
Great project. Clear goal, well executed, very nice API (safe, terse, clear). I use Effect CLI https://github.com/Effect-TS/effect/tree/main/packages/cli for the same reasons. It has the advantage of fitting within the ecosystem. For example, I can reuse existing schemas.
Just as context for anyone curious: Scala is even more "powerful" than TS or Rust as it has real HKT (higher-kinded types), and for example Effect.TS needs to emulate/simulate it. https://github.com/Effect-TS/effect/blob/main/packages/effec...
And if you want more power at the type level, use effect/schema https://github.com/effect-ts/effect/tree/main/packages/schem...
